We don't actually see the creatures in full until near the end of the film, when the family is attacked while Evelyn gives birth, bringing the two central themes to an emotional end. What made the original A Quiet Place so memorable was the balance between following the family as it struggles to stay together and the mystery behind the monsters. The creatures were deliberately kept out of the footage in order to make them more imposing. It wasn't until the end of the trailer, when a lantern was accidentally knocked over, that the monsters came out and the family was forced to flee. The trailer for the first film placed an emphasis on silence to ratchet up the tension, with the slightest noise - the snap of a twig, the whir of a child's toy - bringing with it the promise of a swift death from an unseen threat. While the alien threat is still present, it becomes clear the remaining humans are just as dangerous. The sequel takes place immediately after the events of the original, and follows Blunt's Evelyn and her children as they venture out of their farmhouse and into world.
Directed and co-written by John Krasinski, who also starred alongside Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place followed a family fighting against sightless aliens that only attack if they hear sound.
Our first new trailer of 2020 is none other than A Quiet Place Part II, the sequel to the 2018 smash-hit sci-fi horror film.
